My client had struggled to find anyone willing to take on this challenging walnut worktop, where they wanted the grain all running in the same direction and twice as thick as a conventional worktop. It was achieved by creating a double worktop sandwich, incorporating 2 steel beams to prevent warping yet allow expansion/contraction of the timber.
